Colleen Curry is a twenty-one year-old living and studying in London for six months. In real life, she resides in Red Bank, New Jersey, a small but hoppin’ downtown on the Jersey Shore. In her other real life, she studies and lives at Villanova University, on Philadelphia’s suburban Main Line.
Colleen studies English and all things writing-related; she one day hopes to become a writer, a pastry chef, or a housewife. Those dreams have not changed since Colleen was five and she has taken no significant steps towards any of them.
Colleen’s favorite things about London are afternoon tea, a graffiti artist named Banksy, and learning to speak a foreign language. She is serious about that last one.
If you or someone you know wants to come stay with me, DO IT.
If you or someone you know has travelled to somewhere cool and you have tips for me, please comment here or email me. Likewise, if you know of cool London things for me to check out, please let me know!
If you’re bored and want to find out what my life is like, there’s a couple of things you can do. First, Wikipedia “East End of London” or “East London.” It should give you a pretty good idea of the unique place in which I’m living. If you’re feeling really ambitious, rent the movie “Brick Lane” (it takes place about a half-mile down the road from me) and listen to the CD “Weekend in the City” by Bloc Party. Both adequately describe my life at the moment.
Finally, If you have any questions or just want to chat about my London life, or your regular life, or anything in between, I’d really love to hear from you. I mean it.
